Among the seagulls...

Seagulls in Crisfield
"The same rule holds for us now, of course: we choose our next world through what we learn in this one. Learn nothing , and the next is the same as this one, all the same limitations and lead weights to overcome” ~ Johnathan, from Johnathan Livingston Seagull

For longer than I care to admit, I thought that Crisfield has the world's largest group of one-legged seagulls. I'd walk through the marina and see all of these seagulls gathered, a bunch of which only appeared to have one leg.

Then, one day, I saw a seagull put its other foot down and tuck the other leg up to its body to get warm.

I felt pretty dumb after that, but still get a chuckle everytime I see a seagull balancing on one leg.
