“Our senses are indeed our doors and windows on this world, in a very real sense the key to the unlocking of meaning and the wellspring of creativity.” ~ Jean Houston
Only time for a few photos:
Sprucing up an old building near the city dock.
This is Doris. I took a sad-sack face of her at the side door to Keith Ward's produce stand near the city dock while the owner was at lunch. Normally, Doris is very friendly and a bit of a camera ham. But with her owner away, she seemed a bit suspicious of my 70-200 lens. After I shot this photo, Doris scampered to the back of the store.
This was taken in St. Michaels.
Not much, but I made another shoot out. Whoo hoo!

hi patty.. thanks for the nice door photos. it's interesting how door represents some of our emotions.your photos speaks a thousand words.
nice to see you. this time that i have so minimal time to blog, i hope to write a bit and pieces of what i felt and encountered in this new place. "all words and no photos" at the moment for me now. then hopefully later when the going gets better, i'll begin to become an active friday shoot out participant.
i wonder where is reggie girl. any news from her yet? 'been missing her.. i always carry her book.
I love that expression on Doris' face so much!
Poor doggie.... She looks so lonely. I just love the old unpainted brick structures!!
Hugs,
Marilyn

What did you do to Doris that made her give you such a sad face? May be she is a vain gal and she didn't like all her wrinkles.
Love Doris! And of course sprucing up keeps those doors and windows looking good.
I think you did great, Patty. Doris is cute in her sad-sack face.
I love the sad sack dog. In fact I want to take him home, or feed him, or tickle his ear or something!
Doris looks so sad. Dogs can be the mopiest animals I swear. Lindsay sometimes looks like she might die of heartbreak. I say, "Barry went to work so we have money to feed you. It's not always a romp in the park."
But Lindsay doesn't understand and she mopes and Doris mopes. So sad. Your pictures are great and I love the St. Michaels reflection. Well done, beautiful lady!
Hugs.
yeah! Yeah! you've come home.... the dog's face is priceless.
Patty...two things...first of all I love the sad dog pic...great expression!
2nd...have a great last of the Summer holiday out there. I'll bet there is a lot going on there for the holiday.

How much is that doggy in the window? LOL. Wonderful face! And I like the human touch of the worker -- I had a worker through a window shot myself. I'm so glad you keep making the shootouts despite all the time constraints. I had trouble this week with needing a new computer.
You captured such a great expression on Doris' face. It's a beautiful photo. I also really like the first photo.
All are great photos. Certainly the dog in the window is a fantastic photo and a crowd pleaser; however all are strong. I like how the panes frame the last photo and yet divide it like puzzle pieces.
That dog shot is priceless! One of my favorite shots this week!
Thanks for posting, Patty. I know you must be super busy with the holiday weekend. I'll take the dog and cheer him up.
WOW! Love them all!!! ESPECIALLY DORIS!!!
;^) ;^)
Thank you for such a fun post!
;^)
Doris has the sweetest face ever! Also love your fair photos in your Saturday post. The view from above is spectacular. That's why they pay you the big bucks, right?!
Ooo la la, love the mans refelction and the sad sack face :)
Way cool, how that window shot of St. Michaels turned out.
