Merry Christmas from Crisfield, 2010

Merry Christmas from Crisfield, 2010
"Christmas - that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance - a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved." ~ Augusta E. Rundel

Merry Christmas to everyone from the Crisfield Chamber of Commerce, the Crisfield-Somerset County Times, the City of Crisfield, Crisfield Events, Tawes Museum, the Heritage Foundation, and all of our many organizations and volunteers who help make Crisfield a wonderful place to live;. And, of course,  from the photographer who enjoys bringing Crisfield into you home each day.

About this photo: This photo was taken while shooting for the Crisfield-Somerset County Times. After I had completed my "visit" with Santa, I was walking away, and turned around, as all photographers do to see what they may have missed, and I captured this Hallmark moment. I could not have set this up better if I had tried. I aged the card in Adobe Photo CS4, and contacted the parents for permission to use it as my personal snail-mail Christmas card for next year.

I adore this! The aging effect, coupled with the saddle shoes makes this look completely retro - I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, my friend!
