Casual viewers can move on...potential "sticky fingers" should read carefully

 Crisfield News Blogspot Copyright Notice

I hate to do this, but I have found it necessary to  remind everyone that all of the photos on this site are copyrighted. I tried to play nice and share but some people have abused my generosity. So hear ye, hear ye:

It is prohibited to use my photos without prior written permission, and I require a link back to this site.  I also do not allow use of my photos on Facebook without credit and a link back to this site.

If anyone is in possession of any of my photos without watermark, please remember that I gave photo(s) with specifics, meaning that if you use a photo in any publication without a watermark , credit must be given on flier, in article, on postcard, etc. Failure to do so is in direct violation of the agreement in which photo was given.

Unless you have permission in writing to use my photo without credit, best to ditch the photo. Only in rare circumstances have I given permission to use a photo without credit.

If you would like to own a photo, I have pricing plans available. I also sell limited licenses.

So sorry to hear this but I am not surprised. Some people think that if it is on the internet they can have it to do with as they wish.
This is a form of theft.....
I think you will have to watermark or put something on your photos eventually to make them less desirable.

Patty, your photos are wonderful and it's great that you post them large for folks to enjoy. Unfortunately, this may also make it easier for those unscrupulous individuals to "borrow" them (I am being very polite here). and that is indeed unfortunate. I know what you mean that stamping your name across a photo can make it harder to "borrow" but less enjoyable for those honest folks out there. Perhaps there is some other way, such as a watermark or small copywright symbol and your name in the lower corner of a photo. I also post photos on our blog, not very large, but still have concerns about borrowers.

Let me know if you find a solution.
