Building sand castles on the beach in Chincoteague, July 18, 2012

It's been hot. It's been dry. The heat index today got up to around 110, depending on where you were. I was at the beach in Chincoteague. The water was perfect and a marvelous wind made me forget the stifling heat back in Crisfield.

Yesterday, I was on a relaxing day trip, with no cameras because it was too hot to leave my gear in the car. Naturally, I saw a photo op, and with only my iPod in hand, I took a few snaps.

Thanks to the nice family from Gettysburg for letting me take these photos. And thanks for visiting a Virginia beach. Perhaps you will try a Maryland beach one day!

Nice shots of a fun time! Teenagers become kids again when at the beach. And for these kind of images, the iPod or cell phone work well.
