Winter Wonderland - on the road...

“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event.”

I took these photos on Christmas Day, on our way to our son's house. It was our first snowfall of the season. Some photos were taken nearby; some  up the road a piece, as we used to say in Georgia. Photos are filtered and all taken from a moving car. A really fast moving car.

Some fantastic Arty work here today.
Do you use Photoshop?

I like the effect of some of these looking like paintings. Not sure how hard Maryland got hit, but here in South Jersey, we got 22 inches the weekend before Christmas.

imac: Thanks. I use Adobe CS3, though I don't have a lot of time to play with the filters.

SOL: We got a small amount of snow that was gone by the next day. People only 40 minutes away got several inches and just a few hours away they were hammered, and the snow stayed around.

Marilyn: Thanks. I will be coming getting round to everyone sometimes tomorrow or Friday. Will see you then. Happy New Year! In advance, of course.

Oh, I meant to add that we had some eerie fog hanging over the snow in some of the shots.
