Snow in Crisfield

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
~ Dr. Seuss

We got a small amount of snow last night, just enough to show the Grinch the magic of Christmas. Sometimes the bay saves us from brutal weather. A lot of places were hammered.Photos from the around the entire area should be posted on the newspaper site sometimes today.

Thanks to a neighbor for letting me photograph part of his door decoration earlier in the week. I just knew I would be able to fit this in somewhere.

Patty dear, love your snowy Crisfield pictures! And the quote from the Grinch, well would it even BE Xmas without the Grinch?? I still love the original cartoon version from our childhood, and now also enjoy Jim Carrey as the Grinch who plays the part so well. I just watched it the other day, cuz wanted to add just that much more of a Xmas feel to my days. We have snow too, it is only 16° out there and getting colder by the minute, "brrr" barely describes it! Not much snow, but enough to turn the world white around us and if it stays around we will have a white Christmas, which suits me just fine. DH is complaining of the cold, he would prefer to be in some warmer place right now!° Hope all is well with you. I hear tell there is a huge blizzard coming up along the coast soon. I hope it will miss you, if you are not a snow person! hugs, Debby

Looks like the kids are having fun. No wonder some New Zealanders want to celebrate Christmas in July, our winter.
