Back to School - in the Rain

Today was the first day of school. I had to get up early and cover it for the paper. What a morning! Torrential rain, thunder, and lightening. I sure would have liked to have slept in.

I wonder...is there a law against driving in the rain while taking photos? Sorry. I really did not have time to make any adjustments on this photo. I did not want to be late for school.

“The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.” ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

That's right, Bill is skirting up the coast. Lots of wet kids in school today! Kudos on getting good pictures while staying in the car!

What a yucky day to welcome the start of school. Grey here, but no rain.

I like the head lights reflecting on the wetness.

Patty...did this summer fly by or what? I can't believe it is that time again. Did you reminisce about Woodstock last week?

I don't think you needed to make any adjustments. Your photo is awesome. I don't have kids, so I don't have to deal with waking up early and getting everyone ready.

I like the picture.

bAre-eYED sUN: Thanks. I enjoy your photos, too.

Butler and Bagman: Kudos for being you!

Willow: I love rainy days when I don't have to go out. Digital cameras do not like the rain.

Dan: The summer did fly by. Woodstock? I was there, man.

JaeriLyn: I could have made some adjustments in Adobe CS3 but I was too lazy. I did not have time to adjust while driving, so that photo is seen just as it came out of the camera. I grabbed a camera and shot from the last setting.

When I saws the school bus coming I quickly turned off my windshield wipers.

School starts early in Crisfield! There'd be riots in the streets if anyone suggested returning to school in August here in Toronto.

Excellent photo Patty.

But now I want to hear more about you and Woodstock!

Neil: I know what you mean.

Barry: Woodstock? I don't think anyone remembers being there. We just remembering going.

When it rains here in Auckland, it can bucket down. My siblings in Australia tell me to be grateful and think of their bush fires.
