Wedding Crasher

I was headed to another assignment late this evening, and slammed on my breaks to crash a wedding. Who was it that said good breaks are the most important tool a photographer can have? I'll drink to that! But not drink and drive.

Anyway, he is from Washington, DC, and his lovely wife hails from Crisfield. He is going to settle down in our beautiful town with his beautiful wife, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

BTW: I captured this photo at the Crisfield Elks Lodge. The little girl looks all tuckered out.

Patty, so you have quit your day job and become a professional wedding crasher, eh?? LOL, I am sure those two happy people did not know what hit them when you showed up with your camera. I think you might just have given them one more reason to make their wedding day a memorable one! Gal you just make me chuckle over here. have a good sunday, Debby

I love seeing brides and grooms, outside churches, in receiving lines in the sunshine. It's such a promising image.

I wish we'd had a professional photographer crash our wedding! Where were you in 1970 when my cousin was taking our wedding photos?

Lucky bride and groom, that you have such good brakes!

what fun, I have photos of a wedding in Madrid. at the church across the street from our rented apartment - the bride emerged from a limo and was walked up the steps of the church... I love seeing happy people from the outside - through a plate glass window....

I am checking in from out boat; first day out. Have the poles in the holes, waiting for the big fish.

Pink Bird House: Yea. Maybe I should do that. Free food! But I never eat when I am on assignment, or crashing weddings. I have passed up a lot of good meals, especially at our fire departments and churches.

Joanne: I love to see them, too. "Promising" describes it well, and brings back happy memories.

Barry: I was probably in some protest line.

Patience: I bought my Honda Element last year, and I think it is already in need of a new set of breaks.

Awww.............what a cutie pie little girl :) And such a lovely couple. Hope they have a lifetime of happiness.
Catch any fish????? What's for dinner????
Got any hushpuppies to go with that???? Ummm... that's one of the first things I'm going to have when my tummy feels better. Coleslaw, hushpuppies.......the whole works. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
Hope you and Huey had a fantabulous weekend!!

They're so nice that they even let you take a picture of them, did you tell them your blog? LOL or do they get a free copy of that?? hahaha

I've decided to get better brakes installed on my car...hmm...maybe it isn't the brakes but my inability to take my foot off the gas. Great wedding picture. Are you able to send it to the bride and groom? I'll bet their "paid" wedding photographer (assuming they had one) is jealous.

I would love to crash a wedding, but I would be so self conscious! But apparently you knew her and so she didn't call the police and have you arrested :} Great picture.

Gigi: No. I did not know her. Photojournalist can't pass up cool photos.

Noe Noe: Weddings are fun, especially your own.

Willow: Thanks. I have missed visiting your site. I will be return this week.

Butler and Bagman: So you have a lead foot? You should know better. I know Bagman would have slammed on the brakes. Let him out of the trunk every once in awhile.

Missy: I was in such a rush, trying to make it to an assignment, I am not sure if I told them about the blog. I think I gave them my card. Not sure.

Basir: Thanks for the nice comment. Everyone should check out Basir's blog (and his web site). He is a photographer in Afghanistan. He was once taken prisoner by the Taliban. His work is beautiful, and he is working to help stop the war with his photos. He is really busy, so he does not have time to join our blogging club, but we kept in touch.

Elaine Dale: Thanks for the comment. I will get back to your site this week to see what you have been up to.

Reggie Girl: No fish, but we came back and bought crabs and clams and had a feast. Yes, the little girl was cute - "tired" cute.

I know you will be glad when you can eat again. I did know you still had a loss of appetite.

I am trying to light a fire under my friend who is doing my "shoot out" tees. I told her all about you beating me; thought she would feel sorry for me.

GingerV: You should have crashed the wedding!

Another great photo, and good for him! I'm happy he's decided to leave the hustle and bustle behind, and settle in such a lovely small town. :)
