It is not uncommon to find students boarding boats from several states to go island hopping, and to learn about life on the bay. I captured these students from Nysmith School for the Gifted, out of Herndon, Virginia, boarding the Bay Eagle at Somers Cove Marina.
Below is Captain Larry Laird, Jr. of the Bay Eagle. We have a lot of great captains in Crisfield, and I will be highlighting them all in time. Our captains offer head boat trips and fishing and island hopping charters. Whether you are an environmentalist, nature lover, or you just want to take back a trophy fish, Crisfield is the place for you. We have something for everyone!

Whoo hoo...I get to post the first comment! So, like, then, like I should have something really groovy to say like. Although today, all I've been saying to everyone is, "You look great." I'm not sure but I think I got a promotion at work. "Did you get the budget done?" "No, but you look great." Oh yes, Patty, and your pictures look great.
Do I have to give you an award for posting first? What shall it be?
Congrats on your possible promotion! Dress up tomorrow, and "look great."
Whoo hoo!
I am becoming more and more convinced that I need to see Maine and Maryland. maybe next summer.
Okay , I want a ride on that boat....
GingerV: Come on over! We will roll out the red carpet for our friend from Brazil.
Cherie: We will roll out the carpet for you, too.
Heck. We roll out the red carpet for everyone.
Oh those good old school days, field trips, exploring life. Lucky kids, I'll bet they had a great trip on the Bay Eagle.
Hey, this looks fun! Did you hop aboard, too?
I never got to ride a boat on a field trip the best was just a stinky yellow bus! Looks like fun to me, red carpet or red waves count me in.
wonderful work , really great shots, i love to take photos from the ships and photos of ships.
I knew Captain Herbert (God rest his soul) from Coles Point, Virginia.
He was quiet a fellow and I loved his stories about life of the bay.
ps. Any particular theme for tomorrow, the 17th? Was never much to follow the rules "Is not a team player". Will probably post what I darn well please. But just might give a thought to what others are doing.
