Colors 2

"The whole world, as we experience it visually, comes to us through the mystic realm of color." - Hans Hofmann

More colors from around Crisfield. Some photos have been filtered in Adobe CS3. Click each photo to enlarge.

Sometimes people miss the beauty in small things. The way a shadow falls on an object, the way light can make it sparkle; there is eye-candy all around us, if we only open our eyes.

I like a town with color. Color feeds the soul and makes the heart happy. We have a lot of color in Crisfield.

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way--things I had no words for." - Georgia O'Keeffe

Love that fifth shot - is it an archway for a door? Also love the fishing nets and bouy, as well as the blue and yellow lines!

J9: Yes. That beautiful stained glass is over a door in a building in Crisfield.

Gigi: We do have a lot of color in our town.

Yes, yes, yes - I like color and shapes. I think it comes from being mostly blind and often this is what I see. so far my favorite post.

You and Georgia O'Keefe would have hit it off wonderfully. Hell, I don't know that having only seen your works. Love them all, specially the fishnets, the gray stones, and the yellow poles with blue street and shadows. I'd write more but have to head for morning coffee at MacDonalds. I have to leave the night before because I don't make good time with my walker.

Glad you liked the photos; they were more snapshots "than" photography.

You don't need to be using a walker! Get yourself one of those scoot-abouts.

What vivid colors. I love the bright color's in Newnan as well. That small town charm is so appealing isn't it? Unique bright spots and shops that make our hearts soar when we see their beauty.
Great shots!!
