Saturday Doggie Walk

I jumped out of the car to take this photo of a lady walking her dog. Sorry about the telephone poll growing out of the top of the dog's head, but I was on my way to an assignment and I was in a big hurry.

The fence to the right is part of Eddie Heath's Crab Pots & Supply Co. He is the number one maker and distributor of crab pots in Crisfield. With crab season coming up, the place has been bustling. He makes crab pots in all kinds of colors, and they make wonderful decorations for yards. If your yard leans towards the nautical, give Eddie a call at: 410.968.1292, and add a little bit of Crisfield to your yard.

What a pretty dog and I love the lady in pink!!
I used to always like the red and yellow crab pots.......I think more crabs went into them than the green and black.
Course, that coulc be my vivid imagination :)

O.K. Patty.... You said my bread was driving you to get some... If I hear about crab season about one more time I am going to jump in the car & head south to get some!! My mouth is watering!! :)
Love,
Marilyn

Reggie Girl: If she had not had on pink, I probably would not have stopped since I was rushed. I saw the pink before I saw the dog, and slammed on my breaks.

Marilyn: Come on down. You bring the bread and I will buy you a crab dinner.

Looks like you had a gorgeous day today, just like we did!

Did you know the lady? Did she look at you like you were a crazy person...lol I know thats how people look at me sometimes.

I'm betting you have a lot brake jobs on your car. I drool over having a life that is driving around, slamming on brakes and taking pictures.

Nessabates: No. I did not know her. After over 25 years of working for a newspaper (except for the burnout time), instinct drives me to shoot anything interesting that comes into my view. "Shoot and ask questions later.", is my motto.

She did not live in Crisfield. She lived in a nearby town, and had come here for a walk around the town with her dog.

Of course, I told her why I was taking her photo after I took the photo.

I think, in all the years that I have been shooting, I have only had about a dozen people tell me they did not want their photos taken.

I enjoy giving people their 15 minutes of fame. It makes me happy, and it makes them happy.

Willow: Yes. We had a beautiful day today.

Patty says: Before I got through half the sentence, I knew it was you, B&B.

When my brakes give out I will steal your little red car. I could really get around in that car.

They look like a pretty laid-back pair, walking in-sync there in Crisfield. Looks like a nice sunny day for walking.

Nice photo, it's good to see snap shots like yours. The dog has a flag scarf, isn't it? It's cute though.

aurbie said...

Missy: Thanks. Yes, he is a very patriotic dog.

Dearest Patty,

Now I realized what do you mean by Crab Pots. It is clear to me now that you were referring to the metal fence-like besides the lady with a dog, right? I imagined it look like a chinese pot and thought how could such a pot could catch a crab?

Thanks to this photo, my question has been answered..

The last time I took the photos of people in our neighborhood, I was kind of ashamed because some people were surprised, afraid and somewhat irritated except the soldier of course..

I hope I could join the Wild Life Photo Shoot Outs too..

Missy said...

By the way, I can not join this Friday's shootout, there's no wild animals here :-). I'll try to join you next week's shootout.

aurbie said...

Missy: We don't have any wild animals either. You can do birds, or whatever.

Loida: We call them crab pots, even though they are made of wire. I will have to take an entire shot of Eddie's place. It is a very busy place during the work week.

When you move to Ontario, you can do people there and let us know if there is any difference.

I love the lady and her dog and I actually have an idea how to shoot B&B's theme for Friday that might be fun. I just need some time to actually do it.

I had to enlarge the photo to see what the dog had in his mouth???? my first thought was that he was carring flowers.... okay so I am old and my eyes are bad.... but I love the scarf around his neck - very dapper!
