Caption this photo:

I thought this would make a good feature shot for the paper today, but by the time I got home, there was no hole for it. Not wanting to waste this interesting photo, thought I would post it.

I'll tell you the story when you tell me what you think is happening. Click photo to enlarge.

I think a funny caption would be "That's My Boat!" (as in Forrest Gump)

Well, I am guessing it fell off a truck while it was being transported. I rather like Jen's caption. :)

"Phew, that wind is a bit stronger then I thought!!" What ever is happening, it does look like a traffic accident and the boat slipped off its trailor, perhaps caused by strong winds??

I think the boat tumbled off the truck or trailer that was hauling it! Owner not happy!!

What if the hokey-pokey really IS what it's all about? Could be......

Keep guessing?

My guess is they were driving along towing the boat, and the mast snagged on power lines, toppling the boat off?

Perhaps they were making a ship to shore call and got carried away? Literally and figuratively...

In answer to your question, no there is definitely no other camera. It all started with an FM 10 (that I still shoot with) and now I have a D80.
I have yet to be disappointed, and highly doubt I ever will be, with equipment at least.
;D

Jen: Ship to Shore. Funny.

I used to shoot with the FE-2s. I refused to upgrade when the new cameras came out, then I retired (more of burnout than retirement), sold my cameras, dismantled my darkroom, hated myself for selling everything after the burnout wore off, bought another FE-2 on Ebay just to play with, and after getting my photos back from the processor, I thought..., well I can't repeat that here.

Then I sold my FE-2, and bought a point a shoot, upgraded a few times, and finally went back to shooting for a newspaper 2 years ago, and spent practically my life savings for new gear.

I don't make a dime shooting for the newspaper. My pay all goes back into buying more gear! Always something new I want to try.

Three cheers for Nikon!
