West Virginia Barn

West Virginia Barn, spring 2012
“If a farmer fills his barn with grain, he gets mice. If he leaves it empty, he gets actors.” ~ Sir Walter Scott

I like this quote because I have a friend who once acquisitioned an old barn from a farmer in which to rehearse and perform plays for the community. We had some great times learning lines, playing dress-up, sipping wine, and not really caring if people liked our plays or not, but they did. If anyone has an old barn sitting around they are not using, consider loaning it to a theater group.

It does not look like Spring has arrived in this photo taken the 3rd week in March, 2012, but I can assure you that the signs of Spring are everywhere.

Beautiful farm - just needs a ittle work! We also see old barns turned into event centers, hosting weddings and other festivities.
