Solitude in Crisfield

"We live in a very tense society.  We are pulled apart... and we all need to learn how to pull ourselves together.... I think that at least part of the answer lies in solitude."  ~ Helen Hayes

On a lazy afternoon, I hopped on my Honda scooter and rode over to my secret place. I can't tell you where it is because, though we have a lot of lovely places in Crisfield that I enjoy sharing with the world, this is one place I like to keep to myself. The locals know about it, but they aren't talking either.

There is no "tenseness" in our sleepy town, but a little solitude is like a fine wine, and I get a little drunk here.

Avid followers may recognize these photos; I photograph this place on a regular basis.

This crab shanty is about gone...

These overalls have been hanging in this crab shanty for two years.

A patch of blue.

I could sleep here...

Here are some file photos, previously posted...

No filter, just a beautiful sunset.

Mr. Paul's crab boat.

You can see why I am not giving this location away.

Technology meets the past. I took this artistic photo of a friend looking out over the water where his great-grandmother landed on a boat, with only a suitcase in hand.  There is a lot of history in our town. Come and learn.

Maybe I will tell you where this is one day, or I could blindfold you and take you there. But for now... well, just dream about this magical place where the wind performs a "disk cleanup" on your brain.
