Crisfield Elks Lodge Host Wounded Warriors

“The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.” ~ Thucydides

This past weekend, members of the Crisfield Lodge #10447, along with the Crisfield American Legion, VFW, and the Lions and Lioness, hosted a weekend of fun for three soldiers through the Wounded Warrior Project. I join everyone in thanking them, and all veterans and active duty personnel, for their service to our country. Below are photos from the weekend, in no particular order.

The following photos are from the parachute show. Again, not in order.

This event was on Saturday. Soldiers were also treated to a breakfast, fishing trip, and diner. On Sunday, Dan Kuebler took the veterans and their guests on a tour of the bay on his pontoon boat. The tour ended at the city dock where the Crisfield Soft Shell Fair was in full swing. The soldiers were introduced to festival-goers, and Mayor P.J. Purnell presented each "warrior" with the coveted Key to the City.

"Thank you" can never express our gratitude to these wonderful "warriors" who fought for our freedoms. And a big thanks to the all the good people of Crisfield who joined together to give these brave people a super weekend of fun and laughter.
