Castle Burg Guntenfels

Castle Burg Guntenfels photo
“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” ~ Henry Miller

If you are looking for a private-like stay in a 13th-century castle, this is the place; you want be bothered by pesky tourists, either.

This historic castle towers above the town of Kaub in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It was built in 1220. Pretty cool, eh?

Beautiful...and I was somehow hoping that it could be located here in the USA...sigh. I would love to spend a few nights.

This looks like an interesting place to stay in. The atmosphere is probably very authentic inside. Wonder, if this castle has dungeons?

Jackie: Nope, you have to hop a plane to enjoy that castle.
