Happy Mother's Day From Crisfield

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over.
~ George Cooper

I wanted to do an artistic post for all you mothers out there, but time crept up on me. So here are two Crisfield mothers representing all our Crisfield moms who wish everyone a "Happy Mother's Day!"

Peggy Tawes, mother of Jay and David Tawes.

Crisfield Chamber of Commerce President John Phoebus with his mother Susan.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I took these photos at the J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum open house on May 7, 2010. I will be posting more on that next week - Wednesday or Thursday. You have to check back to see their new crab shanty-cam and hear the story about how they came into some photos from the 1930's - all the way from California! Fascinating story.

Doesn't Peggy Tawes look resplendent in that wonderful butterfly blouse!
