Arrgggg!

This is for my blogging friend who lives in Baltimore. Whenever you see this boat in your harbor, think of Crisfield.

Chesapeake Boat Builders builds some of the finest themed and personal boats around.

Anyone thinking of building their dream boat can contact Chesapeake at 410-623-2293.

I once thought about stowing away on one of their new boats. The owner was sailing it back to his home in the Virgin Island.

Be savin 'yer gold matey!

That is one amazing piece of craftsmanship.

You got an old camera you want to sell? Apparently I'm never going to make it anywhere to get one. I have to till up some more garden this weekend with a load of horse poo. Don't be jealous.......

Reggie Girl: Craftsmanship still lives in Crisfield.

On the extra camera: No. My husband inherits all my old gear.

Just keep saving up. You will get one. As much as you like to take photos, you probably need one that will give you more range.

Maybe the City Hall will buy you one!

Well, it's not as much a money issue as it is a "I just can't seem to fit it into my schedule" issue, lol. I can barely deep my head above water remodeling this house, gardening, catering and resucing animals (jack of all trades, master of not a darn thing, haha). Oh yeah and throw in a little snaphotting and you got yourself a full day lady...............

City Hall? Yeah right.....I most assuredly doubt that :)

Have a great weekend and Prince says hey yall all.......

I was in Baltimore last year for three weeks. I spent some time down at the Harbor and loved it.It was my first time being in that part of the country and I loved how close to so many interesting things it was. When you live in a state the size of Texas it is so far to go anyplace new.Love the picture and the boat / ship? Love the craftsmanship. Can't imagine the cost of something like that today.

Keep those stitches in. We don't want you having to tell the doctors two Southern gals were the cause of you busting out. He make order your son to take his laptop back.

Now, if you could hear our drawls (you still have one, Reggie Girl. or does Prince have you taking like a Brit Yank?), "Your little ole self wood reelly be a-mused."

Cheri: I love Texas. I have taken a lot of photos in your state. I think one of my favorites was in some little cafe on a dusty road.

I has stopped for breakfast, and there was this group of "cowboys" sitting around a table, and I asked them if I could take their picture. I took several of them, along with some photos of the waitress pouring coffee.

I did not label the back of the photo, or the negs, so I have no idea where I was. Every once in awhile I run across the photo and wonder what those guys are doing now, or even if the cafe is still serving up hot coffee.

Texas is one big old state! My first time through there, I thought I would never make it to the other side. It is a great place for photographs.

On the ship, I think it is really nice to know that craftsmanship is alive and well in the US. You might have to get out on the back roads of America to find it, but it is there.

Also, people still make crab pots by hand here. We have this one guy who sits all day in his garage making crab pots with his own two hands.

Hey, CNN! There is a story for you! Craftspeople alive and well, and working in Crisfield, Maryland.

I am posting this that came in on my email. What is with the word verification? I had problems all last week.

From Ginger V:

Patty, good morning. I can't get the word verification to work on your
sight - here is my comment.
I love old ships and this one has personality.
Also---Reggie girl, you have not heard about buying from the internet. Go
to Nikon's web site. Pick the one you want (with Patty's advice, of course)
buy/give credit card/address/ in ten minutes on the net and less than a week
for travel it is yours.... I love my Nikon.... but want a new one - have to
wait a year though - money issues.
