Another round of snow for Crisfield

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost

What a winter this has been!  Here are a few photos I took today. Check out our staff photos for more Crisfield photos and other snow photos from around the area (see newspaper link to right).

Somerset County trucks ready to roll. These guys do a great job.
One of my favorite places located on the marsh, facing the bay. The snow arrived mid-day.

This biker heads home with a sump pump.
Picture perfect.

Stocking up on groceries.

The Somerset Lower Shore Ambulance Squad, on the ball.

Man's best friend, waiting for his owner to return to his pick-up truck.

And then the snow really fell...

By the time I got home all the roads looked like this, and the snow fell for another two hours.

You're certainly getting your share of snow this winter! I'd tell you that Gray says hello but I'd be lying - he's too comatose to lift his head to say Hi. It's a cat's life...

Kate a Chronicles of a Country Girl lives in Maryland as well, her snow pics are here:

Have a great, safe weekend! Elaine, Geoff and Gray

I am beginning to suspect that we here in Toronto. have been too selfish with our winter snows and that it was time for us to do without and share some of our bounty. Well, at least for this year.

Besides, without snow, how could you have taken such wonderful photos?

Love the snowy pier...love the fact that I don't live there. We did get a lot of rain however. You are a trooper! Out there in the blizzard with your camera. I would expect no less.

Are you going to be trapped indoors with this healthy dumping of snow?

It looks so beautiful on TV but I remember it can be so cold.

To the retired NOAA PHD: I accidentally deleted your comment along with several others. I appreciated your comment. Only a weather expert and a news photographer can truly know all the hard work involved in taking weather photos in bad conditions.

Came here via Willow. I see you have had much snow. We finally got the driveway plowed here in northern Cecil County.
