How nice to brake for the goose and goslings. No road kill here,

In parts of New Zealand, we have signs saying," penguins crossing." The New Zealanders love their penquins.

Beautiful picture Patty. I know their not chickens, but do we know why they crossed the road?

Awwwww, which reminds me - I'd better go out to see if I can see any goose babies.

I just took a picture like this yesterday--they were crossing a parking lot we just turned into. The little babies were so cute!!

That's so cute!

Okay, don't think I'm dumb....but what exactly do we do for 'paint the town red'?

aurbie said...

Yaya: You paint the town red by looking for anything red in your town. A red car, a fire hydrant, a red sign. Anything red is far game.

Cute little critters!! We have some quail that tend to do that. :D

Nice goose on the loose!

Patty, the reason I chose the theme "paint the town red" is because it can also refer to big time, late night partying. (not that late night partying is my bag) It would also be interesting to see some partying shots as well as the color red.

Oh wow I thought of Robert McCloskey's children's book
Make way for Ducklings .
Wonder if he ever thought of little gosslings while he was sipping on martinis with an apartment full of ducklings :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog .
Have a great week !
Thanks for the great photos you post.

I love this! It's soooo cute. Somehow I can relate to that last duckling trying to catch up.

And geese can honk back...although I know that none of us actually honk. We have them in South Carolina too.

I carry a loaf of old bread around in my truck with me. The GRAND~girls and I pulled over today and feed the Canadia Geese before I took them to school. They got a big kick out of their honking noises. We are always looking for something that will eat our bread. Mostly we feed the seagulls. This was really cute.
