Coast Guard Auxiliary

Coxswain Dick Conquest, vessel examiner, gives his seal of approval to a vessel at Somers Cove Marina.

National Safe Boating Week began May 16. The Crisfield Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 12-03 was on hand at Somers Cove Marina boat ramp this past Saturday to give free inspections to owners of boats. Stickers were awarded to owners whose boats passed inspection.

Anyone in the area who did not get their boats inspected can bring their boats to Somers Cove boat ramp May 23-24.

If you miss inspections, just give the Coast Guard Auxiliary a call, and they will meet you at the marina.

To our Auckland blogging friends: If you have any boats that need be inspectin' ye can can sail up here, matey.

Thanks Coasties!

For the last hour, I have so much enjoyed navigating around your sites. I completely agree with you about colour. It destroys the viewer's imagination. Nevertheless, some of your colour shots are awsome

Patty,

I'm glad to know the Coast Guard is making sure all of the boats are water worthy.

Have a great week.

Mary

If there is anything I would like to volunteer for, it would be this. There is a unit in Onancock but still too far to go regularly. Anyway, neat post.

Patty,

About the gardening. Buy plants, not seeds, some pots and some Miracle* Grow. You can grow anything. Water when dry. You can do this. The Miracle* Grow is great stuff. Give it a try.

Blessings,
Mary

Good morning Patty, from a sunny and warm day here in Germany. Just now getting back to the computer and gettign caught up with everyone! Seems like I have been missing out on some great posts. And you have spruced up your header, LOVE the collage of pics there, especially that blue gingerbread house. Anyway, had a lovely time with my sis here, nothing beats a bit of sister-time, espcially when those sisters live 3000 miles apart! it was nice to see that you had stopped by the other day on my post just to say hello. You are one of the first that i am visiting today after not being on blogger for 5 days. Just had to see what kind of great pics you had for everyone. I think it is going to take me a couple of days to read thru all the posts that I have missed! Phew, I have my work cut out for me. :-) take care and have a great Wed. hugs, Debby
