I took this today on our city dock where the mail boats from Smith Island, MD and Tangier Island, VA dock in the a.m. You can always find FedEx and UPS packages lingering on the dock unattended, along with a few groceries like the milk and eggs shown on the right. You won't see that in many towns, proving that our little town is an honest and safe place to live.
I also took this photo today. This is a crabber's shanty near our hospital. Crisfield is famous for the best crab 'eaten on the Eastern Shore.The next two photos are are fun snow photos.
Speaking of crabs, Linton's is a great place to get hot steamed crabs to go. They also ship. If you like shrimp, they do some of the best steamed shrimp in town. Visit their site at: http://lintonsseafood.com.

Boo for this weather, alright! But it can be pretty. I like the 3rd shot, too. Kind of like fire and ice. Those hot steamed crabs also help to warm the bones
I want more summer shots...tired of being cold and spending so much on gas bills. Love your pics, though!
Know what you mean about the heating costs. I will go through more summer shots and put them on tomorrow.
It' hard to believe, but it is almost Feb 2. Let's hope old Punxsutawney Phil does NOT see his shadow next week. That means an early spring. If he sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter. I could actually live with that.
Around here, the waterman know as much about the coming of an early spring as old Phil. But hey Crisfield, I think we need a Punxsutawney crab! Why not?
We could plan a whole weekend around it. I think the DNR would let us stir up one "eternal" (like Phil) crab.
We could even beat Punxsutawney by doing our weather forcasting one week before Phil. Think of all the publicity.

I'll bet our crab could beat a ground hog every year, and he could be a year-long draw for visitors. Imagine a little crab house instead of an old tree.
Coachdad, you spawned an idea. Isn't it wonderful that a few simple words from one person can spawn a whole idea? That's what makes the world go 'round!
