This post is to honor our mail boat captains. Like the USPS, neither rain sleet or snow stops the boats that run from Tangier and Smith Island to Crisfield.

We have a lot of cold fronts ride in on the winds around these parts. The high today made it to 23. Yesterday, the wind chill made it feel like 12.

Bottom: Andy Parks of the Courtney Thomas out of Tangier. Note the ice on the rails.

Top: Captain Terry Laird, of Smith Island, stands in front of the ice-caked Captain Jason.
