“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
~ Albert Einstein
You kind of get the meaning of what that means when you are in Crisfield. Enjoying the beauty of nature is one of the special things to do in Crisfield. And when you can do it with your family, it is even more special. I captured this family (they own a second home here) doing nothing more than enjoying watching the boats coming and going. After taking their photo, I found out they were from Bel Air in Harford County, Maryland, where our son lives.
I meet a lot of people from Bel Air while taking photos. Having spent a lot of time visiting our son, running up and down Wheel Road, and fighting traffic at White Marsh and eating establishments, I know why you love Crisfield.
